Good news! Our air shipment is scheduled for delivery on Tuesday! Woohoo! Tuesday also happens to be the day that they are installing the first round of our window coverings and also the day that Charlie leaves for the US. It will just be the girls - geez, I sure hope that someone speaks English! We will check out of the hotel on Tuesday morning and take our last load of things to our new home, hoping all along that the taxi doesn’t try to drive off with our luggage in his truck again!
It will be so nice to be in one place, although the hotel is such a lovely haven for Makena and I. We don’t have to do anything. The beds are miraculously made, the trash just disappears, and there are clean towels every day! The hotel also has TV! Even if I don’t really care for any of the channels, at least there is a TV! Our TV is on a boat somewhere (as Makena will tell you every time we see a boat!) and we don’t know when it will arrive. I would love to say by Christmas, but it will probably be more like New Years. Until it gets here, Makena will be sleeping on the floor on her old crib mattress (which we put in the air shipment...it is for her baby sister’s room) and the adults will sleep on our new couch that was delivered yesterday. It will be like a slumber party every night! No TV, but we will have our iMac computer (cross your fingers that it makes it through the flight and customs unscathed) and the Internet. We’ll find something to watch in the evenings.
